Originally I started building lamps from unusual or recuperated materials such as metal, glass, Perspex, wires etc. Detaching objects from their usual context is my way to focus on their interesting qualities (such as structure, material, symbol…). Having spent a substantial part of my life at the seaside, collecting driftwood became another natural and versatile source of material. In addition to lighting I also use it for furniture.
